Eat Chinatown: a photo show

Here's a new project I've been working on with Chinatown Pretty collaborator/writer Valerie Luu! These past few months we've been photographing and interviewing classic SF Chinatown restaurants that have been operating over 40 years. The Chinatown Community Development Center invited us to put on an exhibit highlighting some of our favs. Eat Chinatown will be up through April 9th --here's a peek. You'll also find old menus and ephemera at the show!
Dates: 1/20-4/9
Location: 41 Ross Alley, SF, CA
Gallery hours: Th-Sun 11-4p

Oakland Restaurants for Norwegian Airlines

Recently, I photographed a 9-page cover story on Oakland food businesses for Norwegian Airlines Magazine. They offer direct flights from OAK International to Norway and funny enough, I'd booked a vacation on that route for September and was able to catch this issue on my flight. I received the assignment just days after I booked my trip,  so stars must have been aligning. Made me happy to highlight these proudly-Oakland restaurants and businesses --Brown Sugar Kitchen, The Cook and Her Farmer, Locol, Mamacitas Cafe, Mandela Food Co-op, Miss Ollie's and Red Bay Coffee.
